Dear Client,
Victoria's Proposed WFH Changes Pushed Back
The Victorian Government has announced that its proposed work from home (WFH) reforms will no longer commence on 1 September 2026, with implementation now delayed until 1 July 2027 for all businesses.
What does this mean for employers?
At this stage, there is nothing you need to do.
Existing workplace arrangements, policies and employer obligations remain unchanged. Employers should continue managing flexible work arrangements in line with their current policies and legislative requirements.
The Victorian Government has indicated it will use the additional time to continue consulting with business and industry stakeholders before progressing the legislation. Peninsula will continue to monitor developments and keep clients informed of any significant updates.
